Wedoany.com Report on Feb 24th, The Italian crane manufacturer TeknoGRC has officially appointed the British company Foster Crane & Equipment as its exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland markets. This collaboration marks the expansion of TeknoGRC's crane product line into its global distribution network, strengthening its presence in the European market.

Founded in 1981 by Giuseppe Corna in Bariano, east of Milan, TeknoGRC initially engaged in equipment assembly, serving brands including Hyco, Demag, and Soimi. It later collaborated with Krupp to produce truck cranes. In the 1990s, the company expanded its business into aerial work platforms and earthmoving equipment. In 2000, TeknoGRC began supplying products to Grove and became its national distributor.
In 2014, after Giuseppe's son Silvio Corna took over, the company was renamed TeknoGRC. Since then, TeknoGRC has developed railway machinery products and produced railway platforms for Platform Basket. In recent years, the company has supplied cranes to Zoomlion under its own brand, such as the 40-ton ATC 400C city crane.
In 2023, TeknoGRC launched its own crane series, which currently includes three telescopic crawler cranes (30 to 45 tons), one 30-ton lattice boom crawler crane, and one 40-ton twin-axle city-type all-terrain crane. Larger models, such as a 65-ton crane, are expected to be released soon. These products will enrich the crane options available in the UK market.
Headquartered in Kidderminster, UK, Foster Cranes is the UK distributor for JMG pick & carry cranes, Jekko spider cranes, and Aconda crawler transporters. The company has previously collaborated with Sany, particularly in the telescopic crawler crane sector, while its business also includes the sale of used cranes.
Andrew Foster, Managing Director of Foster Cranes, stated: "I am delighted to have secured the distribution rights for TeknoGru in the UK and Ireland. This historic manufacturing company, located near Bergamo, Italy, produces a range of cranes, including traditional lattice boom and fully telescopic models. We will be launching these cranes in the UK for the first time from mid-2026." This collaboration is expected to enhance the visibility and sales of TeknoGRC cranes in the UK market.
