Wedoany.com Report on Feb 26th, Etihad Airways has announced that it will deploy the Airbus A380 on its Abu Dhabi to Bangkok route starting in October, marking the aircraft's debut in Thailand and aiming to boost capacity ahead of the winter travel peak. The double-decker aircraft will operate daily evening flights, connecting Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport with Bangkok, enhancing the aviation network between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

The centerpiece of the Etihad Airways Airbus A380 is "The Residence," described as the world's only three-room suite in the sky, offering a private and luxurious experience. Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways, stated: "There is high anticipation in the market for A380 flights, and Bangkok is one of the most popular destinations. Its vibrancy and cultural appeal perfectly complement our flagship aircraft."
Before the winter travel surge, the introduction of the Etihad Airways Airbus A380 provides travelers with more choices and additional capacity. Arik De added: "Flying to Bangkok on the A380, guests can explore Thailand's beaches and city life, or extend their holiday experience with a stopover in Abu Dhabi."
The flight will operate daily starting October 25th, departing Abu Dhabi at 9:20 PM and arriving in Bangkok at 6:35 AM; the return flight departs Bangkok at 8:30 AM and lands in Abu Dhabi at 12:20 PM. The configuration of the Etihad Airways Airbus A380 focuses on premium travel, featuring "The Residence," nine First Apartments, and 70 Business Studios on the upper deck, each with direct aisle access and fully flat beds. There is also a lounge "The Lobby" between First and Business Class for socializing.
The First Apartments include a separate leather armchair, an ottoman that converts into an 80-inch bed, and a private shower. "The Residence" is a three-room suite comprising a living room, bedroom, and en-suite bathroom, accommodating up to two guests and offering personalized dining services. The Economy Class features 337 standard seats and 68 "Economy Space" seats, ensuring service coverage for different passenger groups. The deployment of the Etihad Airways Airbus A380 further strengthens its positioning in the premium aviation market.
