The first CNC machining centre was introduced in the early eighties and was developed mainly for drilling and tapping applications. These early drilling and tapping centres have evolved into a complete range of high-end precision machining centres that can be classified into four categories: Univers, Unipent, Unipro, Uniport and Unicom.
