In recent years, LY Steel has unswervingly implemented a quality-and-efficiency-oriented strategy, accelerating the integrated development of its industrial chain, talent chain, and innovation chain. A large number of advanced production lines—including high-strength steel for construction machinery, cold-rolled high-end appliance panels, cold-rolled single-stand mills, the 1580 hot rolling mill, and high-speed bar lines—have been completed and put into operation, significantly raising the level of high-end, intelligent, and green equipment. The company has recruited more than 30 doctoral-level high-caliber talents and collaborated with over 10 top domestic research institutes and universities, establishing 17 scientific and technological innovation platforms such as the Automotive Lightweighting Joint Innovation Laboratory and the High-quality Corrosion-resistant Steel and Green Application Collaborative Innovation Center. Among them, the low-temperature pressure vessel high-manganese steel LGHM400 has filled a domestic gap, while the hot-formed steel LR1500CV has achieved a global first by reducing the weight of commercial vehicle chassis components by 33%.
