Pinggao Group Weihai High-Voltage Apparatus Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Pinggao Weihai") was founded in 1993. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henan Pinggao Electric Co., Ltd., which belongs to China Electric Equipment Group Co., Ltd. The company covers an area of 23,000 square meters, with a building area of 14,500 square meters and a production operation area of 10,000 square meters. Its registered capital is 105 million RMB. It possesses a complete set of test and inspection equipment, including lightning impulse withstand voltage and power frequency withstand voltage (including partial discharge) testing, capable of meeting all factory test requirements for its products. After more than 30 years of development, the company has grown into a GIS manufacturing enterprise with a well-established marketing system, efficient fulfillment and service quality, outstanding technological innovation capability, and reliable product performance and quality. It now has the production capacity of 1,000 bays of 110kV and 220kV GIS per year. The company has been awarded a series of honorary titles, including Shandong Province "Worker Pioneer," Shandong Province "Specialized, High-end and Innovation-driven" Enterprise, Shandong Province "High-tech Enterprise," and Provincial-level Green Factory.
The company currently mainly produces and sells 72.5kV‒252kV GIS, 72.5kV wind turbine tower GIS, and related operation, maintenance, and overhaul services. Its products are sold to East Asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia, the Middle East, South America, and other regions. As the first Chinese company to independently develop a 72.5kV GIS product for wind turbines with international competitiveness, Pinggao Weihai successfully passed the Shandong Province First Set Certification. It has solved technical challenges such as large tilt angles, high vibration frequencies, and high corrosion resistance requirements for offshore equipment, achieving domestic substitution of key equipment for offshore wind power and effectively supporting the accelerated development of the offshore wind power industry. For overseas markets, the company has successfully broken through technological bottlenecks by independently developing China's first 145kV GIS and 170kV GIS, which have been successfully put into operation in countries such as Korea and Nepal, successfully bringing the company's products into the international market.
