Soon customers throughout the baking industry recognized Peerless not only for the quality of its products, but also for our innovativeness in engineering, the reliability of our products, and the dependability of our service. Peerless, through the creativity of its employees and our responsiveness to our customers needs, became the clear leader in dough mixing. In 1987 we undertook a growth strategy of acquiring related businesses and product lines. Over time Royal, Fedco, SuperGrain, Lanham, Peters and Goodway all became part of the Peerless family of products. These acquisitions expanded our capabilities and offerings in dough mixing and dough makeup equipment, and in cookie and cracker machinery. It also gave us a leading position in Cake and Snack Food equipment. By 2001, these new additions had evolved into three separate business units with Peerless as the parent company and Fedco and Peters each as wholly owned subsidiaries. The newest phase of our corporate development is the consolidation and integration of all three business units into a single company known as "Peerless Machinery Corp.." The physical aspects of the consolidation were completed in mid-2003. We are now positioned to continue to grow in our service to our grain-based food producing customer base. Peerless people, our corporate culture and our commitment to our customers are most important assets. Just as our employees creativity and responsiveness to customers needs was the key to our early success, it is even more important today. Just as we built our reputation on the innovativeness of our engineering, the reliability of our products, and the dependability of our service, it is imperative that we continue that tradition today. It is "The Spirit of Excellence" that our customers around the world have come to rely on. Peerless Machinery Corp. is a food equipment company. Our focus will remain in this arena where our expertise, including our ability to serve customers, exists. We will continue to serve customers around the world and will build on our international reputation for creating value for customers. Our product innovations and technological applications will continue to be developed in response to customer need - and we will execute the delivery of those solutions through our unique expertise in engineering and manufacturing. We want to grow our sales but only in areas where we can earn a fair profit. We recognize that to do so requires that we always delivery more than a customer expects. Our customers needs deserve to be analyzed and equipment created to meet those needs. He deserves to receive what he pays for, when he expects to receive it, and without defects. We must constantly seek ways to improve our products and the systems and procedures we employ to delivery them. We must continue to reinvest in the growth of the business using our financial capital for optimal return. We will always conduct our business ethically, with the highest respect for each other and those with whom we do business. We will be exemplary citizens, both individually and corporately, giving back to our community whenever possible.

Vahaviolos and venture capitalists, Frederick Adler (VENAD) and Milton Pappas (Euclid Partners) in the University town of Princeton, New Jersey. Since its founding, PAC has grown both internally and by the acquisitions of Trodyne Corporation (founded in 1969) in 1980, and Dunegan Corporation (founded in 1968 - the oldest AE equipment manufacturer in the world) in 1985, to become the acknowledged world leader in this field. In December 1994, Dr. Vahaviolos led a management buy-out, through the MISTRAS Group Inc., to acquire all shares of the PAC Group. Today, PAC, owned by its employees, commands better than 85% market share of the AE sensors and equipment sales. The new Holding Company is emerging as an organization of multiple technology centers in the USA, Europe, Asia and South America. The Company has more than thirty-five years of continuing AE experience in sensor research, (from wideband to high fidelity, low cost resonant and band limited), and acoustic emission test data experience in applications such as pressure vessel testing, pipeline monitoring, railroad tank cars, high pressure tubes and tube trailers, concrete, aging aircraft, tank bottoms, weld monitoring, electronic components including Hard Disks, bearing and valve monitoring, composite materials testing, defect detection and localization, biomedical applications, as well as other processes where a material is undergoing a state of change or experiencing a crack initiation and propagation. To help technology transfer, PAC has created its REACT (Research, Engineering, Applications, Certification and Training) organization which performs basic contract research, applications and most importantly, provides educational Training and Certification in accordance with ASNTs SNT-TC-1A Level I and II programs and other international standards. REACT also coordinates all PAC research activities worldwide and works with Universities and research institutes on several SBIR contracts. While the strength of the Company is in AE, several of our employees are also experts in other NDT fields. We have expanded our innovative AE instrumentation technology to other more traditional fields of NDT such as Ultrasonics, Eddy Current and Resistivity Alloy Sorting. In early 1990, we formed our traditional NDT Division that introduced UltraPAC-II, a sophisticated UT Digital DSP-based product and fastEddy, a second generation dual frequency Digital Eddy Current instrument. To foster further expansion in other fields of nondestructive testing, the MISTRAS Group Inc. acquired Scanning Systems International (SSI) in 1999, and combined it with PACs UT division to form NDT Automation, a semi-independent business unit of the Group. In late 2000, MISTRAS Group Inc. acquired Quality Services Laboratories, Inc. (QSL-Plus) to extend its activities to both advanced and traditional NDT inspection services. In 2001,MISTRAS Group Inc. increased its portfolio of sensor technologies with the acquisition of Vibra-Metrics, one of the oldest companies to offer vibration sensors, instruments and on-line plant asset management systems (SENSOR HIGHWAYTM) for internet/intranet based predictive maintenance. Over the years, we have been blessed with so many excellent employees who have transposed standard jobs into careers dedicated to AE and NDT in general. PAC could never be where it is today without this great asset, along with the loyalty of so many customers worldwide who trust our employees and products. We, the management of PAC, thank them both!

The original “Buckaroo Support” is composed of a wood dowel adhered to a PVC disc. It is designed to support pipe insulation at hanger locations. To install the Buckaroos Support the contractor cuts a circular hole into the bottom of the pipe insulation (fiber glass, rubber tubing, rigid foam), and fills the hole with the Buckaroos support. For chilled water and cold piping, a piece of ASJ Insulation Tape is applied over the PVC to complete the vapor barrier. This simple Buckaroos Support safely supports the insulation in place without crushing it. As we fine-tuned the new product idea, we realized that the new supports resembled miniature cowboy hats… that happen to ride on top of “saddles” like a cowboy. Thus, Buckaroos, Inc. was born. We feel that our success over the last two decades can be largely attributed to our eagerness to innovate. Shortly after introducing Buckaroos Supports, we improved the traditional pipe insulation saddle. Our focus was the sharp ends that posed a threat to the integrity of the insulation jacketing as the pipe shifted. The Buckaroo outward Flared-Edge Saddle was the first of its kind to provide a significant improvement at every hanger location. Our most recent Patented Pipe Insulation Saddle is the Roundup Saddle, featuring a short-rib on the bottom of the Saddle to center it on the clevis hanger, along with round corners for installer safety. We make Saddles in various gauges and lengths. The first Buckroos Supports paved the way for a full line of newer pipe insulation supports and pipe insulation protection saddles. Today, we have a complete system to meet the needs of every weight-bearing section of insulated pipe. We are seeing a growing desire from engineers for a pre-insulated support that can be specified for hot and chilled water. To address this need, we developed the Buckaroos CoolDry Sliding Saddle for chilled water and cold piping, and Model 1200E Calcium Silicate Insulated Saddle for hot piping over 250 degrees F. For ammonia refrigeration piping and piping that moves at startup, we introduced Buckaroos Sliding Saddles. These unique Sliding Saddles allow for up to 4" of linear movement, and feature a bottom Saddle that stays in place on the hanger, while the top saddle (taped to the insulation) moves with the pipe itself. This is due to a friction free liner coating on the bottom Saddle allowing the top Saddle to move. In addition to the exciting manufactured product offerings, the Buckaroo Tool Catalog is the best place to find the most popular insulation tools in North America. We promise to continue providing prompt feedback and superior customer service. Please be sure to see our booth at the next trade association event. We are proud supporters of NIA, MCAA, ASHRAE, IIAR, CSICA, MICA, SEICA, SWICA, and the TIAC Associations.

The company, founded by Alan J. Janis and Bruce K. Warne, filled the void in the marketplace for products and services that the absence of McCormick Morgan Power Systems Engineers had created. J&Bs expertise and insistence upon premium quality products promptly gave them the reputation as the industry leader. Their unique 400 Hz cable assembly designs, with options for replaceable noses, swiftly became the most popularly used assemblies both with commercial and government customers. J&B Aviation is the exclusive North American distributor for numerous ground support manufacturers. Along with their reputation, J&Bs product line began to grow considerably within and beyond 400 Hz power distribution. Pre-conditioned air, potable water, lavatory service and air-start products have expanded extensively. While most recently, J&B has developed cutting-edge gate and ramp accessories including aircraft docking systems, baggage chutes, baggage/wheelchair lifts, and carts, reels and baskets for the storage of 400 Hz cables and PCA hoses. J&Bs sales increased--and continue to do so--by nearly 25-35% each year. As a result, its staff, office and warehouse space have had to meet growing demand with substantial expansion. Doubling their office and warehouse space in 1997 appeared sufficient until 1999, when the home office moved to an 8600 square-foot location in Fairfield. The millennium ushered in the opening of J&Bs service division. J&Bs staff has also grown extensively. The offering of specialized services began in 1999 and include system design, start-up, installation, project management, training and specification review. In 2002 J&B Aviation Services became part of the Illinois Tool Works family of companies. J&B Aviation now joins Hobart Ground Power, Trilectron Industries, Air-A-Plane, Houchin Aerospace and Axa Power in forming the ITW GSE Group. In 2006 J&B Aviation celebrated its 15th Anniversary as the premier supplier of ancillary products to the aviation industry. As a result of successful sales growth J&B has had to once again move to another facility in order to keep up with the demand for its products and services. In June of 2006 J&B once again doubled its size as it moved from its Fairfield location to a new location in Vacaville just a few miles away. With the new warehouse facility J&B is now able to stock even more inventory to be able to provide customers the expected level of service that has become synonymous with the J&B name. The dedicated J&B staff consistently stays abreast of improving technology, offering various design options for equipment and the ability to devise new products in response to a customers special requirement. With such a wide range of services, products and possibilities, its not difficult to understand why many domestic airlines, military bases and over 100 airports worldwide choose to rely solely on J&B Aviation Services, Inc. as their supplier. J&B Aviation Services, Inc. is a multi-faceted organization providing 400 Hz Power Distribution, Preconditioned Air, Potable Water, Lavatory Service, Air Start, Baggage Chutes, and Aircraft Parking Systems to the aviation marketplace. J&B staff have over 100 years of collective experience providing quality reliable products to the aviation industry and are recognized for our level of expertise. In addition to being manufacturers representatives, we provide the following valuable services: System Design Specifications Review Start-Up Installation Project Management Training It is our mission to provide quality reliable products, as well as necessary technical support for our customers airside requirements. The company quickly became an industry leader in rugged AC and DC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for military and industrial power conditioning and backup. Our RuggedUPS products are trusted in punishing environments found in war, heavy industry, and transportation. In 2000, the company expanded into power generation by acquiring intellectual property for an innovative tubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) design. Acumentrics improved the technology in “stealth mode” for over five years. Internal development has made the fuel cells 60X more effective. Presently the company sells fuel cell power generators in the 1-10kW range to qualified customers and partners. They are used for silent, standalone generation and combined heat and power. Our fuel cells offer significant advantages over traditional engine- and turbine-powered generators: no compression/combustion cycles, no moving parts, minimal ongoing maintenance, and negligible levels of pollutants. The company’s patented tubular solid oxide fuel cell design offers efficiency and operational advantages over competing fuel cell and power solutions for commercial, industrial, residential, and communications uses. In 2007, Acumentrics acquired substantially all of the assets and employees of Fuel Cell Technology Limited of Ontario, Canada. Their balance-of-plant expertise enhances our system design. Our corporate, administrative, research, development and engineering headquarters are in Westwood, Massachusetts. Acumentrics has manufacturing facilities in Westwood, Massachusetts, USA and Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The company serves its customers directly and through distributors and resellers. Building on its strong experience in power electronics, Acumentrics has developed a new line of proprietary solid oxide fuel cell systems designed for highly efficient and clean standalone or backup power.

It was apparent to these men that when growing corn, NH3 was the second-highest input cost after seed. In the mid-’90s the standard (tube style) heat-exchanger was the only method of liquefaction and was prone to leaving uneven rows and streaking in the fields. The founders of aNH3 set out to achieve something unheard of at the time: to eliminate uneven distribution and increase application speed while providing monitoring of each row. While agriculture has changed exponentially over the last two decades, many application systems used today are based on the technology used in the 1960s. Our engineers and technicians have devoted decades of effort in getting anhydrous delivery systems out of the “stone age” by building products that bring accurate, reliable results to our customers. In over 20 years of business, aNH3 has earned several US patents and continues to advance the way anhydrous ammonia is applied. We understand how important nitrogen is to our customers and want them to feel confident knowing that they have the most advanced control system in the industry. Located in Elkhart, Illinois aNH3 is staffed by a diverse team of farmers, engineers, and technicians designing and building every aNH3 product here in the US.
