The shoulder screw 1 031 is the first such large range in stainless steel to be introduced, being interchangeable with part No. 1 021. The stainless steel used by Rabourdin Industrie has a chromium content of 17% which allows a 1 031 screw to be used in conditions too severe for carbon steels. The second range of stainless steel parts is the extractable dowel pin, part No. 523, and its special feature is that it can be nitrided on request. The properties of the steel chosen allow it to reach a mechanical strength of 2000 MPa/sq.mm (= 55 HRC) thanks to an appropriate heat treatment. Furthermore, its resistance to abrasion is much greater than that of the products usually available on the market. These two ranges are available from stock. Wear plates The range of bronze bushes with self lubricating inserts is supplemented by a range of wear plates of two different types, bronze with graphite inserts and steel with hardened surfaces offering excellent resistance to wear and seizing. The steel types belong to the NITROCARB® series and are interchangeable with the bronze range. Furthermore, its resistance to abrasion is much greater than that of the products usually available on the market. These two ranges are available from stock. Steel guide pillars and bushes A very large stock of steel guide parts, including straight or stepped guide pillars and bushes, with or without collars, meets most of the requirements of die mold-makers. Moreover special dimension can be supplied to meet the requirements of designers of large dies. Each type in these ranges, to ISO and DIN standards, is available with or without a centering lug. The choice of quality steels and perfect control of the heat treatment processes guarantee mechanical properties which make these components capable of with standing high mechanical loads while reducing the possibility of seizing. Threaded fasteners Rabourdin Industrie manufactures standard threaded fasteners up to 500 mm long and special threaded fasteners intended for a large variety of applications : tooling, the automobile industry (prototypes, Formula 1), the aviation industry etc. In this area, Rabourdin Industrie has acquired extensive experience from hot-stamping screw heads in materials as diverse as steel 30NCD16 and titanium TA6V. These special products are not new to Rabourdin Industrie which was already producing screws for the aeronautics industry in 1946 under the name of AERO-VIS, and regularly exhibits at Le Bourget Air Show as a manufacturer of aviation screws and bolts. Springs Rabourdin Industrie offers complete ranges of wire springs, spring washers, gas springs and elastomer springs, with a wide variety of dimensions and load capacities in each of these ranges. These springs are economically of great advantage thanks to even longer intervals between servicing them on tooling. As for the gas springs, they have the best thrust-to-size ratio on the market, with fully usable stroke length. They can be self-lubricated or installed to operate at a temperature of 200 °C without the need for preloading and can be interconnected as from 50 mm diameter upwards or installed independently. Standard and standardised parts for punching and stamping tools This extensive range of standard punching items: plain guides, punches, semi-blocks, etc. comprises over 5000 Part Numbers, all available in stock. Their very high quality level, particularly the ball guides with the pillars core treated to 62 HRC, makes this one of the strongest and finest ranges on the market. The list is supplemented by our standard and customized Tipco matrices as well as various original and high performance items such as chute-type feed vibrators and system fitted tapping sets. Friction units for cutting and stamping Supplier of automobile manufacturers for over 25 years, Rabourdin Industrie produces and keeps in stock a wide range of friction components used by toolmakers, to ISO, CNOMO, VDI, etc. These are brass and cast iron wear plates with steel inserts, brass bushes and sockets with or without inserts, nitride steel Vee and semi-Vee friction parts. In addition to these standard products, Rabourdin Industrie can quote short delivery times for supplying specific components to customers’ drawings. These products, coded by the manufacturers, are widely exported to every toolmaking country in the world. Metal plate, mold bases and die sets In our long-standing activity of metal plate production, our capacity has expanded from “microblocks” through to steel plate measuring 3 500 x 1 700 x 30 mm, and it has been supplemented by various services: deep boring, handling holes ( “ISO” International Standard from 125 x 125 mm to 400 x 315 mm, > “OXA” DIN Standard from 156 x 156 mm to 446 x 546 mm. These two ranges offer customers more than 50 formats, though any other dimension can be delivered within 5 working days. In the case of punching tools, a standard range of columned blocks is offered, from 125 x 200 mm to 635 x 500 mm, fitted with smooth tracks or ball bearings, and two or four columns. The capacity to produce tools according to Rabourdin Industrie drawings has also expanded to maximum format of 3 000 x 1 500 mm at up to 10 tonnes per item. Hot runners, injection systems The hot runners range offered by Rabourdin Industrie makes this Division of the Rabourdin Group one of the market leaders: with constant development work, it groups together several product lines: RP nozzles, Series 300/350, threaded nozzles standard and specially designed manifolds, short delivery times (3 weeks) hydraulic blanking-off systems for medium sized as well as for large automotive tooling top of the range MCS regulators capable of heat control and pilot control in sequential blanking-off systems various accessories (plugs, cable terminals, wire, housings etc.). Rabourdin Industrie’s ef. ciency on this market is closely connected with its outstanding before and after sales service: 4 CAD stations currently at the design stage, 4 engineers backing up the customer service network, a special workshop with all the necessary machining facilities. These facilities give us absolute control of the manufacturing processes.
