So originally, the main line of business was the distribution of electro-mechanical and mechanical parts such as tachogenerators, speed reducers, torque motors, and shock and vibration absorbers.. • Since 1978, SOCITEC has manufactured metal suspensions with outstanding mechanical characteristics (major shock absorption, endurance and reliability, no ageing, the ability to withstand harsh chemical, mechanical and thermal environments, etc.).. • The shock and vibration line of business was grouped together under the wing of the SOCITEC Vibrations Division based at Sartrouville (Yvelines). All of the administrative, technical and sales departments, as well as the manufacturing workshop, are located there. SOCITEC has formed an integral part of the BMP Group since 11 January 2001.
