The development of the Through Glass, Architrave and Round wedge units allowed positioning at 800 – 900 mm from floor level with integral Labelling / Operating instructions which allowed operation for all. Due to there success within the Secure Entry Branch network, Nationwide decided to specify the Touch switch on all swing door operators as opposed to Stainless Steel Push Pads. (As did several other high street retailers) We have now achieved our goal by incorporating Surface mount technology, providing cost effective reliable electronics.
