We aim to be our customers preferred supplier by offering products which provide best value together with a service that exceeds customers expectations.Crane Fluid Systems is a leading brand of Crane Building Services & Utilities which forms part of the Fluid Handling Group, a division of the parent company Crane Co, a New York Stock Exchange quoted company with a turnover of nearly $3 billion. History In 1906 James E. Bennett set up a business in London as a Coppersmith. He soon recognised a growing interest in the trade for the latest American pipe fittings and valves, and turned his attention to importing. Amongst the products he introduced to British Industry were those of Crane Co, a thriving American company founded in the mid 19th century. Crane soon realised that a manufacturing unit in this country would help expand their international business. In 1919 Crane Co. purchased the assets of the English company and changed its name to Crane-Bennett Limited with the intention of making products in England. Today as part of Crane Building Services & Utilities, Crane Fluid Systems is joined by an array of complimentary building services brands including NABIC, Brownall, Wade, Rhodes and IAT. Quality Assurance Rigid quality control and inspection at all stages of manufacture ensure that Crane FS products are suitable for their intended application and will give reliable service. Every valve and pipe fitting is individually tested in accordance with the relevant product standard. Crane Fluid Systems is an approved manufacturer under various quality schemes, including the British Standard Institution (BSI) Kitemark, and is ISO9001 accredited. In addition, the company has been approved and/or listed by various user organisations including the United Kingdom Water Fittings by laws scheme and other third party organisations. Today & Tomorrow Crane Co was founded on the 5th July 1855 by Richard Teller Crane who made the following resolution: "I am resolved to conduct my business in the strictest honesty and fairness to avoid all deception and trickery to deal fairly with both customers and competitors to be liberal and just towards employees and to put my whole mind upon the business." The essence of this resolution is the business policy of Crane Co today.

The new company was formed in recognition of the fact that YRNs technical team had expertise that was increasingly being used outside the network. In its new guise, Audionics designed and built much of the equipment used by the members of Yorkshire Radio Network and by an increasing number of outside customers such as BBC Radio, and a host of commercial stations. The team was often asked to design and build special equipment for its customers. What set the company apart was the fact that the technical staff had the ability to turn a customers often complex needs into practical reality. The Management Buyout In 1991, Audionics was acquired by a consortium of prominent Yorkshire business people. The consortium recognised the importance of retaining the skills built up by Phil Davies and Phil Myers, who took an active part in the purchase of the company and continue to run it to this day. Audionics has since gone from strength to strength and built up an enviable reputation as a designer and manufacturer of innovative yet practical equipment for broadcast studios. The customer base has expanded considerably over the years and Audionics equipment is in constant use in studios across Britain and around the world. In November 2007 Audionics became wholly owned by the Executive Directors, Phil Davies and Phil Myers.. The Development of Audionics It quickly became apparent to the Audionics company directors that clients who valued the design and build skills of the company also had a need for a wide range of "off the shelf" devices. Gradually a portfolio of standard products has been built up using the skills and intimate knowledge of the business that has become a byword for the Audionics custom build service. The continuing programme of product development now includes AES digital audio technology. The range includes studio amplifiers and distribution amplifiers, mixing matrices, workstations and a range of digital products. The "off the shelf" range has become so successful that it now accounts for around half the companys business. New products are added to the inventory only when an opportunity is identified to produce a device that will offer the user genuine benefits at a reasonable price.
