However, its real beginnings go back to the mid 1970s when Mark Kaltman started a recording studio in Portland, Oregon. The studio was part of the 70s controversial Home Recording Studio movement, during a time when commercial recording studios were beginning to feel threatened by the emergence of the high-end, home based recording studio. The number of home based professional recording studios back then probably only numbered in the hundreds, and Kaltmans recording studio was right there at the forefront. Kaltmans professional and practical audio experience also extended into the live touring segment where for several years he toured with major recording artists in the capacities of FOH Engineer, Monitor Engineer, and Production Manager. For his audio engineering expertise, he has received both Gold and Platinum albums along with various other recognitions and credits. Kaltmans technical expertise extends beyond the field of audio engineering as he is a holder of a General Class FCC license w/ Radar endorsement, a bachelors degree in electronics engineering and has authored the book, Start-Up Tactics for the Small Business (BookSurge Publishing). Today Mark Kaltmans name may sound familiar, as he is a true pro-audio industry veteran. Kaltman has worked for such companies as Denon Electronics, Sabine Inc, Wheatstone Corp, AETA Audio, and Klotz Digital. His industry roles have ranged from National Sales & Marketing Manager to President & CEO. He is also credited with landing the worlds largest wireless microphone sale with an initial order of over 700 transmitters. Kaltman Creations LLC is based in Suwanee, Georgia just north of Atlanta. The foundation of Kaltman Creations LLC is centered on the premise that there are always new and innovative product ideas – even in stagnant marketplaces - provided you know how and where to look. The secret to discovering those new and innovative product ideas is found in a unique marketing research formula that Kaltman has developed over the years. The first product offerings from Kaltman Creations were the Kaltman Cable Coiler™ and Cable Slap Ties™. The combination of these two professional audio accessories forms a cable management system the likes of which has never been seen before. Identifying other needs for the professional audio field led Kaltman Creations into exclusive distribution of a line of affordable RF Spectrum Analyzers. Originally for the analysis of RF for wireless microphones, Kaltman Creations has expanded the industries it serves to now include utilities, transportation, life / emergency service, IT, industrial and military.

Electromagnetic clutches were developed in the late 1950s. In the early 1960s, air-conditioning clutches were developed and in the late 1960s, micro clutches were developed for office automation equipment. In the 1970s, lawn and garden clutches were developed, as well as a variety of industrial clutches and brakes such as the hysteresis and multiple disk units. In the 1980s, the spring applied brake line was developed along with the permanent magnet slip clutches. In the 1990s Ogura continued to automate their manufacturing facilities to lower their production costs. New models of clutches were also developed for industrial customers. These included the OPL, PHT, and MIC microclutches for use in paper transport drives and office automation equipment. New models of mobile and lawn and garden clutches were also developed to handle the ever increasing horsepower ranges in those markets. In the first half of the 2000 decade new manufacturing plants have been opened in the US and China to supply the demand of these markets. Company Size Ogura has 14 manufacturing facilities located in Japan, South East Asia, China, North America, South America and Europe.
