Project Description: The Gemeinschaftsklärwerk Bitterfeld-Wolfen plans to construct a second biogas desulfurization plant to treat biogas containing up to 70,000 ppm of hydrogen sulfide generated from newly introduced MIA wastewater (containing high concentrations of sulfate). The new plant must use the same two-stage chemical-biological scrubbing process as the existing plant and operate in synergy with the existing system.
