Sierra Space, the U.S. company developing the Dream Chaser spacecraft and the private orbital station Orbital Reef, has announced the expansion of its technology center.

The new manufacturing facility, located in Broomfield, Colorado, will focus on producing compact surface-mount technology (SMT) solar panels.
Spanning 6,500 square meters, Sierra Space's new facility features comprehensive testing capabilities, including thermal vacuum chambers, steam chambers, and a dynamics laboratory.
Eric Daler, Vice President of Sierra Space, stated that the company can manufacture one solar panel per satellite per week, with the U.S. military already requiring such panels to power its orbital constellations.
