On May 28, the Kunlun Large Model Application Achievements Conference was held in Beijing, showcasing the latest progress in the iterative upgrade of the Kunlun Large Model and demonstrating the broad prospects of "AI Leading · Smart Energy." Dai Houliang, Chairman and Party Secretary of CNPC, attended and delivered a speech, urging a thorough study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on building a strong cyber nation and his key discourses on developing artificial intelligence. He called for further strengthening confidence, seizing the momentum, accelerating the creation of a new form of intelligent enterprise, promoting the in-depth and solid implementation of the "AI+" special initiative, building a high-level "Digital and Intelligent CNPC," empowering high-quality development in all aspects, and making new and greater contributions to building a strong cyber nation and a digital China.

The conference was presided over by Zhou Song, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of the Group Company. Qiao Hui, Assistant General Manager, introduced the achievements in the construction of the Kunlun Large Model over the past year. The latest typical scenarios in three areas—technological innovation, industrial development, and management improvement—were released at the event, and the results of the two tracks in the first stage of the 2026 Group Company Artificial Intelligence Competition were announced.

Dai Houliang fully affirmed the new achievements made in the construction of the Kunlun Large Model over the past year. He pointed out that the company has earnestly implemented the "Digital and Intelligent Petroleum" strategic initiative, vigorously carried out the three major projects of "IT Strengthening, Digital Empowerment, and Intelligent Development," and promoted a series of important advances in the construction of the Kunlun Large Model. In terms of the technological foundation, the basic capabilities of the industry large model have achieved overall advancement; in application empowerment, the intelligent development level of the main business has been comprehensively enhanced; in ecosystem cultivation, the pattern of open sharing and collaborative innovation has been continuously improved.

Dai Houliang emphasized the need to enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency in accelerating the development of artificial intelligence, firmly grasp the historical window of opportunity, and ensure the Group Company keeps pace with the times amid the wave of new forms of intelligent economy.
