Recently, the 10,000-ton ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin innovation demonstration project of China Coal Ordos Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. in the Tuke Project Area of the Sulige Economic Development Zone received formal approval from China Coal Group and was included in the special management of China Coal Group's key technological innovation demonstration projects.

This project represents a key breakthrough for the company in deepening its dominant track of coal chemical new materials, addressing shortcomings in the high-end industrial chain, and cultivating new productive forces, injecting technological innovation momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the company's coal chemical industry and the expansion and quality improvement of the high-end new materials industrial cluster.

As a benchmark technological innovation project for improving the quality and efficiency of the coal chemical industry, the project leverages the company's mature coal chemical industry supporting infrastructure, well-established scientific research transformation platform, and long-accumulated core scientific research achievements, precisely targeting the market development needs and industrial pain points of high-end polyolefin new materials. The project focuses on tackling two core key technologies: ultra-high molecular weight polypropylene and high-performance polypropylene, planning to build China's first multi-reactor combination 10,000-ton demonstration unit, innovatively creating a full-chain innovation demonstration system integrating "catalyst formula-polymerization process-specialized equipment-product development."

The approved demonstration project will address the shortcomings in the industrialization of coal-based high-end polyolefin products, break through the development limitations of the traditional coal chemical industry, and form a replicable and scalable complete set of industrial technology solutions for coal-based high-end polyolefins. At the same time, the project will play a role in technological demonstration, industrial leadership, and radiation-driven effects, further consolidating the foundation of the company's coal chemical new materials industry development, accelerating the construction of specialized and distinctive new materials industrial bases, and promoting the iterative upgrade of the company's coal chemical industry from basic raw material manufacturing to high-end new materials and high value-added product fields.
