Recently, Unit 2 of the SDIC Zhoushan 2×745 MW-class gas power generation project, for which Harbin Electric Group supplied complete equipment, successfully passed the 168-hour trial operation, marking the full-load commercial operation of the first unit of Asia's largest-capacity gas power plant.
The SDIC Zhoushan 2×745 MW-class gas power generation project is equipped with two 9HA.02 heavy-duty gas-steam combined cycle units, with a total installed capacity of 2×848.31 MW. As a key energy project under Zhejiang Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" "Thousand Projects, Trillion Investments" initiative, the project can achieve a maximum annual power generation of 5.054 billion kWh after commissioning, with carbon emission intensity only 40% of that of coal-fired units of the same capacity class. It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 2.49 million tons annually, effectively enhancing the peak-shaving capability and power supply reliability of the Zhejiang power grid, and injecting strong momentum into the realization of the "dual carbon" goals and the high-quality economic and social development of the region.
Harbin Electric Group's Turbine Company customized a triple-pressure, reheat, three-cylinder, two-exhaust reaction condensing steam turbine for this project, featuring a multi-stage, small enthalpy-drop reaction design with outstanding capabilities for frequent rapid starts and flexible load adjustments. Harbin Electric Group's Generator Company supplied the largest-capacity single-shaft water-hydrogen-cooled turbogenerator in Asia, offering multiple advantages including high output, low vibration, and high efficiency.
During the project construction, Harbin Electric Group established a professional service team stationed on-site throughout the process, promptly resolving various issues encountered during installation and commissioning, and providing comprehensive support for the smooth commissioning of the units with professional technical expertise and extensive practical experience, ultimately achieving three "one-time successes" in unit ignition, grid connection, and trial operation.
Going forward, Harbin Electric Group will fully advance the installation and commissioning of Unit 1 of the project, continue to provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of both units, and ensure the long-term safe, efficient, and stable operation of the units through concrete actions.
