Shanghai Electric is the only domestic group that has a complete industrial chain, covering large nuclear forging, nuclear island main equipment, conventional island, and auxiliary equipment such as instrumentation and control systems. Its products cover all domestic nuclear power plants, and the company's market share in the domestic comprehensive market remains a leader.

Shanghai Electric has the capability to supply domestically produced and mass-produced key nuclear power main equipment for third-generation nuclear power units such as "Hualong One" and "Guohe One," as well as fourth-generation nuclear power units such as "High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor" and "Thorium-based Molten Salt Reactor." These have been successfully applied in demonstration projects both domestically and internationally, including in Fuqing, Shidao Bay, and Karachi.
