CPVC offers excellent heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, anti-aging properties, flame retardancy, and a higher heat distortion temperature. It retains many of the superior properties of PVC while also providing good flame retardancy and low smoke emission characteristics. It can withstand most acids, alkalis, and salts, and its heat resistance is significantly superior to other plastics (20–40°C higher than ordinary PVC), with a Vicat softening temperature that outperforms other thermoplastics. As the chlorine content increases, the heat distortion temperature rises markedly, and the mechanical strength indicators correspondingly improve, making it widely applicable across various fields.
