Usually the lithium battery separator material is polyolefin, which can provide sufficient mechanical properties at room temperature, but it is prone to great thermal shrinkage at high temperatures, resulting in short circuits of positive and negative electrodes, and the battery is prone to spontaneous combustion or even explosion.
Coating alumina on the organic separator can significantly improve the high temperature resistance of the separator, thereby improving the safety performance of the lithium battery. At the same time, the presence of ceramic coating also improves the liquid retention capacity of the separator, and also strengthens its mechanical properties.
There are two types of alumina universal type for separator coating: ZK2230 and ZK233C, which can be customized according to customers' individual requirements.
