The GW4 series disconnect switch is used in high-voltage transmission equipment with a rated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz. It is designed for switching high-voltage lines under no-load conditions and for electrically isolating high-voltage electrical equipment, such as high-voltage busbars and circuit breakers under maintenance, from live high-voltage lines.
This series of disconnect switches is a double-column horizontal rotary central single-break type, consisting of a base, post insulators, and conductive parts. It can be equipped with grounding switches on one or both sides. Both the main and grounding blades can be operated in three-phase linkage or single-phase operation using either an electric or manual mechanism.
When the main blade operating mechanism is activated, the vertical transmission rod drives one post insulator of the disconnect switch to rotate. Through a set of cross four-link structures installed in the base, it drives the other post insulator to rotate, thereby achieving the opening and closing actions of the left and right conductive parts.
