Spectacle Blind Flange

Also referred to as the "8-character blind plate" or "spectacle blind," this is a specially designed isolation device in pipeline systems. It is mainly used for the complete isolation or conduction of pipelines or equipment, and is especially suitable for working conditions that require frequent switching of states.

The Spectacle Blind consists of two circular metal plates connected by a rotating shaft design in the middle, welded into the shape of an "8" or spectacles. One side is a completely closed solid blind plate, while the other side is a hollow ring with a central opening. It can achieve conduction and isolation states by loosening the flange bolts, rotating the blind plate to the target position, and then re-tightening.

It can be made from various materials such as carbon steel (10#, 20#), alloy steel (12Cr1MoV, 16Mo3), and stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti, 0Cr18Ni9). The pressure range can follow international system standards such as PN2.5, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, PN63, PN100 (MPa), with conventional product sizes ranging from DN15 to DN600 (mm). Depending on actual needs, sealing face types such as flat face (FF), raised face (RF), male-female face (MFM), tongue and groove face (TG), or ring joint face (RJ) can be used.
