Thick-walled cylinder, fixed-cylinder type, top mechanical fixed rod pump (API TYPE RHAM)
In most rod-pump mechanical oil production wells, rod pumps are more commonly used compared to tubing pumps. The main reason is that the entire rod pump can be pulled out of the well along with the sucker rod string without moving the tubing string. The rod pump is designed to be lowered to the specified pump hanging depth, with the supporting joint (connected to the lower part of the tubing string) placed first. The pump body is then connected to the sucker rod and lowered into the well, where it is inserted into the supporting joint to form a seating seal. The rod pump consists of the pump barrel assembly, plunger assembly, valve assembly, and supporting assembly.
Advantages:
- Convenient maintenance: Maintenance work can be performed by simply pulling up the sucker rods.
- The tubing string can be connected by lifting the rod string, enabling operations such as well washing, steam injection, and sand flushing.
