Wedoany.com Report on Mar 13th, German meal kit and food delivery company HelloFresh has announced that Julia Pütz will assume the role of Director of Sustainability starting March 2026. She brings over seven years of sustainability experience from the apparel industry.

Julia Pütz began her career at PwC in 2015. She then served as Corporate Sustainability Manager at Puma, where she was responsible for energy and climate-related activities and helped develop carbon reduction pathways to meet science-based targets. In October 2021, she joined Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) as Senior Sustainability Manager, where she built the company's environmental sustainability framework and led the development of its first climate strategy and decarbonization pathway. In February 2026, she stated on LinkedIn: "This week marks my last day at Carhartt WIP. After over four incredible years, I'm turning a new page. We transformed sustainability from a developing function into a strategic pillar, always focused on moving beyond reporting to driving tangible business impact."
HelloFresh treats sustainability as a key operational priority, shortening supply chains by sourcing ingredients directly from producers and reducing packaging and repackaging. The company states that its meals generate 25% fewer carbon emissions compared to the same meals prepared with supermarket ingredients. Its recipe boxes come with pre-portioned ingredients to help consumers avoid food waste. The company has also switched to recyclable paper pouches for dry ingredients and encourages consumers to reuse packaging.
In her new role at HelloFresh, Julia Pütz will lead the integration of the company's sustainability strategy into operations, drawing on her experience in supply chain sustainability and sustainable sourcing. She will also apply her expertise in sustainability reporting to enhance transparency in emissions measurement and reporting. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, she said: "After years of working in sustainability within the fashion industry, I'm stepping into a new field: food systems. I'm thrilled to join HelloFresh as Director of Sustainability. Different industry, same core challenge: integrating sustainability at scale into business strategy, operations, and supply chains. Looking forward to the future."
