Wedoany.com Report-Jan 14, A malfunction in a well caused produced water and crude oil to spill in Bowman County.

State regulators said about 235 barrels of produced water and 15 barrels of crude oil spilled about eight miles southeast of Marmarth.

Denbury Onshore notified the state of the spill.

The Department of Environmental Quality is inspecting the site and will monitor the investigation.
