en.Wedoany.com Reported - Snowflake announced on the 9th that global pharmaceutical company Sanofi has launched a new AI agent, "Concierge for Field," based on Snowflake Cortex AI to support medical meeting scheduling. This tool enables Sanofi sales representatives to receive complete plans via email, including pre-meeting planning, prioritized physician recommendations based on their specialties and prescription history, and historical transaction record reviews. Information that previously required hours of manual searching can now be prepared in seconds.

Sanofi is advancing agent-based AI applications with Snowflake, deploying AI agents across research and development, procurement, IT, human resources, and field sales, setting standards for data and AI-driven research innovation in the life sciences industry and faster delivery of treatment options to patients. During the initial data investment process, Sanofi built thousands of dashboards, but most data remained underutilized. To address this, Sanofi consolidated data on Snowflake and leveraged the agent capabilities of Snowflake Cortex AI, including the personal agent "Snowflake CoWork" that supports intelligent work environments.

The resulting new operating model allows AI workflows built on Elementum to run directly on Snowflake, eliminating friction, costs, and dependencies associated with traditional enterprise software. This model has been applied within Sanofi's research teams, who process real-world clinical data at scale on Snowflake to accelerate the release of analysis results needed for new drug development decisions. Sanofi's data and engineering teams are working closely with Snowflake's "Forward Deployed Engineers" team to expand capabilities. This team, composed of AI engineers and researchers, full-stack and data engineers, data experts, industry specialists, and AI product managers, directly participates in building AI solutions within client teams. Meanwhile, Elementum's AI applications run directly on the Snowflake platform.

Emmanuel Frenehard, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Sanofi, stated that Sanofi has been building complex pipelines for years, moving data between expensive software systems internally and externally to access its own data. With Snowflake and Elementum, Sanofi has found a clear direction, building AI directly on data and transforming the company's operations from R&D to manufacturing and commercial departments. Sanofi is moving toward becoming the first biopharmaceutical company to leverage AI at scale. Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy noted that unlike running AI on existing fragmented systems, Sanofi uses Snowflake as a unified agent-based enterprise foundation, connecting research, manufacturing, and commercial operations on an AI-ready platform. This demonstrates that AI can deliver substantial results in real-world settings.
