en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's first batch of domestically developed flexible manufacturing intelligent welding robot systems for offshore engineering has been officially put into use in Tianjin. The system was integrated and entered the testing and acceptance phase in August last year. After nearly 10 months of on-site debugging and engineering verification, all performance indicators have met design requirements, achieving industrial application.
This equipment system is specifically developed for high-difficulty, customized heavy-duty welding scenarios such as offshore oil and gas platform block nodes, deepwater jacket stiffening rings, and collapse rings. It has a design life of 20 years and a maximum load capacity of 30 tons. Its core software and process library are 100% domestically produced. The system features high environmental adaptability and operational flexibility, effectively addressing issues such as poor accessibility for welding in complex spatial configurations of large offshore engineering structures and difficulties in precision control.
The project team overcame multiple key technologies, including variable cross-section welding groove identification, complex path planning, intelligent welding process parameter matching, and adaptive adjustment. They achieved over 10 technological innovations, such as AI visual recognition of welds, 3D laser vision intelligent assembly, and multi-layer multi-pass intelligent welding. The robot can be started with one click and automatically complete product component welding, featuring functions like intelligent welding trajectory correction and intelligent back sealing.
This equipment system was announced by CNOOC as integrated and completed in Tianjin in August last year. Flexible Manufacturing refers to a new production model developed to meet the demands of mass customization, capable of quickly adapting to changes in market demand, product design updates, and variations in the manufacturing process.
