The approval includes three types: varieties with the DBN9004 genetic event, which are tolerant to glyphosate herbicides; varieties with the DBN8002 event, offering resistance to insects and tolerance to glufosinate herbicides; and stacked trait varieties combining DBN8002 and DBN9004 traits. This milestone strengthens the company’s presence in South America, building on its earlier successes in Argentina and Brazil.

The DBN8002 event was previously approved for cultivation in Argentina in 2022 and in Brazil in 2024, marking a steady expansion for Dabeinong Biotechnology in the region. The recent approval in Uruguay enhances its market reach, particularly in a key agricultural area.
