en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) will open at the Mackay Showgrounds on July 21, 2026.

As the largest regional mining exhibition in Australia, all exhibition spaces for the 2026 QME were sold out months in advance, with the expanded display area reaching 9,000 square meters, showcasing mining technology, equipment, and solutions. According to Rebecca Todesco, Client Manager for Mining Exhibitions at Prime Creative Media, the event organizer, thousands have already registered to attend, and QME continues to reflect the strength and momentum of Queensland's mining sector.
The 2026 QME will attract over 350 exhibiting companies, including global brands and leading suppliers in the resources sector such as Milwaukee Tool, Hitachi Construction Machinery/LandCROS, Fulton Hogan, Epiroc, Hastings Deering, Brooks/XCMG, Liebherr, and Flexco Australia, as well as a wide range of Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) providers.
The core feature of the exhibition, the QME Mining Pavilion, will return, bringing together major mining operators and contractors including Glencore, Macmahon, BHP Mitsubishi Alliance, Mackellar Group, Stanmore Resources, and Whitehaven Coal. This pavilion offers visitors direct access to leading operators and showcases projects, procurement pathways, and priorities impacting the industry.
The 2026 exhibition also features the Leadership Series, which hosts practical industry discussions on topics such as safety, productivity, workforce capability, leadership, and operational performance. Todesco stated that this series aims to provide practical, real-world insights that operators can take back to their businesses.
During the event, the QME Opening Party will be held at the end of the first day, providing networking opportunities for exhibitors, visitors, and stakeholders. The 2024 exhibition attracted over 5,000 visitors over three days.
The 2026 QME is supported by a network of sponsors including Hitachi LandCROS, Pirtek, the Queensland Government, ORIX Fleet, Sixt, and Maroomba Airlines. Key association partners include the Bowen Basin Mining Club (BBMC), the Queensland Resources Council (QRC), Austmine, the Minerals Council of Australia, the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), and the Australian Society for Bulk Solids Handling, as well as industry partners such as Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining, Energy and Exploration Ltd (AEMEE), Young Mining Professionals, the Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC Time), Mackay Airport, and the Resources Centre of Excellence.
The official charity partner, BMA CQ Rescue, will also be featured at the exhibition. Its General Manager, Lisa Martin, stated that it is an honor to be the official charity partner for the 2026 QME and looks forward to engaging with attendees and exhibitors at the event, sharing the emergency aeromedical services they provide in central and northern Queensland.
Todesco noted that QME plays a vital role in connecting the entire Queensland mining industry, serving as a platform to build and strengthen genuine relationships. The 2026 exhibition is free to attend, with thousands already pre-registered.
