Price of a Ton of Ukrainian Agricultural Exports Increased 1.4 Times

Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 23, In Ukraine, the price per ton of agricultural exports rose to $443 in April 2025, up from $315 the previous year, according to Vitaliy Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Koval attributed the increase to a focus on exporting value-added products, particularly bioethanol. Additionally, average prices for Ukraine’s top five agricultural export products per ton saw significant gains compared to 2024:

- Sunflower oil: $1,174, a 37.8% increase from $852.

- Corn: $217, up 27.1% from $171.

- Wheat: $231, a 27.4% rise from $181.

- Poultry meat: $2,385, an 11.2% increase from $2,145.

- Soybeans: $409, up 4.3% from $392.

Since January 2025, Ukraine’s agricultural exports reached $1.1 billion, totaling 2.5 million tons. Koval stated: “The Ministry of Agrarian Policy continues to work on diversifying sales markets and expanding the export potential of the processing industry.”

The State Customs Service reported that from January to March 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $18.5 billion and exported goods valued at $9.9 billion.

In 2024, Ukraine’s overall goods exports grew by 15% to $41.64 billion, while imports increased by 8.6% to $69 billion. In 2023, the country’s total trade turnover was $99.4 billion, with imports at $63.5 billion and exports at $36 billion.
