en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vodafone Albania and Nokia recently demonstrated a 5G network slicing technology based on Agentic AI, capable of dynamically and rapidly creating dedicated network slices during emergencies, large public events, or unexpected surges in user demand.

Vodafone Albania and Nokia showcase 5G network slicing and Agentic AI innovation

This demonstration combines Vodafone's 5G Standalone network with AI, enabling the system to analyze network conditions such as traffic levels and meteorological data, and make instant autonomous decisions to optimize performance. Instead of relying on predefined configurations, the network intelligently allocates resources where they are most needed, delivering more efficient, resilient, and differentiated connectivity. Specifically, this technology provides reliable connectivity for enterprises operating mission-critical services; enables intelligent resource allocation during large public events, concerts, and sports events; enhances network resilience during unexpected demand peaks; and efficiently manages network capacity through AI-driven automation.

By integrating connectivity and AI, Vodafone Albania and Nokia are laying the foundation for future services. Tirana International Airport (TIA) already uses Vodafone Albania's 5G network to support advanced airport security solutions, such as instant, secure push-to-talk communication across airport teams based on Airbus's mission-critical Agnet platform.

In the UK, Vodafone Business earlier this year became the first operator to offer commercial 5G network slicing to enterprise customers, enabling them to access dedicated slices within its mobile network with guaranteed local performance. This service complements Vodafone's Mobile Private Networks (MPNs), which are designed for organizations requiring fully customized, self-contained on-site connectivity and maximum control.
