en.Wedoany.com Reported - Global packaging supplier Detpak has opened a new manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA, aiming to serve the North American market through localized paper-based packaging production and enhance overall manufacturing capabilities.

According to Detpak, the new facility improves supply chain reliability, shortens lead times, and provides greater operational flexibility for major quick-service restaurant customers by producing closer to the market. The 16,300-square-meter facility, representing a multi-million-dollar investment, is currently undergoing equipment commissioning, with full production scheduled to begin in August. Initially, it will employ over 50 people from the local community.

Detpak supplies paper-based packaging to quick-service restaurants, food service, fast-moving consumer goods, and retail customers, including global brands such as McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks, and Wendy's. The company's products are sold in 45 countries, and it currently operates manufacturing facilities in eight countries.

The company stated that the Spartanburg facility is a significant step in its global expansion strategy and reflects a long-term commitment to the North American market. Detpak has been supplying customers in the North American market through its international manufacturing operations for over 20 years. CEO Sascha Detmold Cox said that establishing a proprietary manufacturing facility in the US is a key milestone in business development, enabling better support for customers with locally manufactured products and reinforcing the long-term commitment to the US market. She emphasized that while continuing to deliver the same level of service, innovation, and reliability through global operations, the company is focused on building long-term partnerships.
