The exhibition theme is set as "Beyond the Screen, Into the Smart Display," demonstrating how OLED and Quantum Dot (QD)-OLED are expanding into the vehicle and AI device sectors. Samsung Display unveiled for the first time a product applying HIAA technology (creating holes in the screen display area) on an automotive center console sample. This product achieves an 80mm diameter "large hole" for arranging shift dials and air conditioning vents, integrating essential vehicle components with the digital screen and enhancing interior design freedom. Samsung Display commercialized a 5mm hole for smartphone cameras in 2019 and has recently expanded the technology to diameters of 80 to 100mm. Core technologies include thin-film technology to prevent organic materials around the hole from being exposed to moisture and air, and circuit design to reduce signal distortion. The central information display (CID) adopts a vertical sliding OLED where the screen can move up and down, hiding the screen normally and expanding up to 15.5 inches when needed.
