This new research facility will concentrate on advanced chemical batteries, lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery technologies, aiming to bolster India's domestic capabilities in critical energy storage technologies.
Aligned with the government's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" and "Make in India" initiatives, the center aims to accelerate indigenous technology development and support India's growing demand for reliable energy storage solutions.
As part of this initiative, Lineage Power has already initiated research collaborations with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, combining academic expertise with industrial capabilities to advance research in battery materials.
Research projects at the center will focus on improving battery performance through material coatings, microstructure and porosity optimization, electrolyte design, advanced material characterization, electrochemical evaluation, and battery parameter optimization.
The facility will also evaluate and validate raw materials from domestic suppliers, helping to strengthen the local supply chain to support indigenous battery technology development.
This R&D center is a key milestone in Pace Digitek's strategy to expand its capabilities in advanced battery systems engineering and research. By investing in scientific research and in-house expertise, the company plans to drive greater innovation across the energy storage value chain.
