BRS Resources Acquires 1,053 Hectares of Mining Rights in Mexico's Gold Belt

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian exploration company BRS Resources Ltd. announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire mining rights within the Mulatos Gold Belt, located 11 kilometers north of Yécora, Sonora, Mexico. The transaction will expand the company's exploration area to 1,053 hectares, covering the La Guadalupana and El Señor de los Guerreros zones.

The primary objective of this acquisition is to identify epithermal precious metal (gold, silver, copper) deposits within the same geological corridor, which already hosts internationally renowned mines such as Alamos Gold's Mulatos mine and Agnico Eagle's La India mine.

According to the terms of the agreement, BRS Resources will earn a 75% interest in the aforementioned minerals after investing US$5 million in exploration and development over five years. Upon expiration of this period, the company holds a discretionary option to make an additional payment of US$5 million. The seller will receive a 3% net smelter return (NSR) royalty and retains the right to repurchase 2% of it for US$3 million.

Field operations will be directly managed by local operating entity Canson Mining Group SA de CV, responsible for workforce recruitment, environmental permits, compliance requirements, and community relations. BRS Resources will invest US$100,000 to prepare a NI 43-101 compliant technical report in collaboration with ALS Geo Resources.

Fieldwork will commence with a high-resolution drone geophysical survey program in partnership with GDI Geofísica Aplicada de México, followed by three-dimensional modeling to define drilling targets.
