en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lundin Mining reported its Q2 2026 results, with quarterly revenue approaching $1.2 billion, ranking among the highest levels in company history. The company attributed the quarter's strong performance to higher copper and gold prices, stable operations, and enhanced cash generation. Another key development during the quarter was that the Vicuña project in San Juan Province, Argentina, received approval under the Large Investment Incentive Scheme (RIGI) and was officially enrolled.

On production, quarterly copper output reached approximately 77,000 tonnes, with gold production of 33,000 ounces. Adjusted EBITDA stood at $658 million, adjusted operating cash flow at $495 million, and adjusted free cash flow at $360 million.
According to information obtained by Minería & Desarrollo, following the completion of the acquisition of an additional 5% interest in Caserones and a 30.9% interest in the Los Helados project, the company's net cash position at quarter-end remained at $79 million. These two transactions strengthened Lundin Mining's growth footprint in the Vicuña district.
In Argentina, Lundin Mining stated that the national government has approved the Vicuña project's enrollment in RIGI. The project, which integrates the Filo del Sol and Josemaría deposits, is regarded as one of the world's largest copper projects. Access to RIGI provides greater predictability for advancing investment and long-term planning for this bi-national project.
During the quarter, the company also approved the installation of a new ball mill at the Chapada mine in Brazil. This investment is part of the Saúva project, aimed at expanding processing capacity and sustaining the mine's future growth.
