en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 9, Kuhn North America launched the GMD 15030 rear-mounted four-section disc mower in the U.S. market. With a working width of 14.5 meters, this machine can be paired with a front mower and is now available through Kuhn North America's authorized dealers.

The GMD 15030 features four OPTIDISC ELITE cutter bars, each equipped with seven discs. According to Kuhn's published data, when operating at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour, the machine achieves a maximum working efficiency of up to 20 hectares per hour, representing an increase of nearly 50% compared to conventional three-section mowers with working widths of 9 to 10 meters.

The machine is equipped with the LIFT-CONTROL hydropneumatic suspension and the NON-STOP obstacle protection system, allowing each side cutter bar to float independently over terrain. The cutter bars can fold back nearly 180 degrees, resulting in a transport width of less than 3 meters and a transport height of less than 3.8 meters. The minimum power requirement for the matched unit is approximately 230 horsepower, and the machine weighs approximately 3.8 tons.

The machine comes standard with the KFA 12 cab control box and offers an optional ISOBUS MOWER CONTROL system for headland management, section control, and other automated functions. The GMD 15030 was showcased at the Agritechnica international agricultural machinery exhibition in Hanover, Germany, in 2025, where it was named "FARM MACHINE 2026"; its entry into the authorized dealer channel now marks its North American market launch.
