en.Wedoany.com Reported - The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) in Egypt announced that Hirdaramani Group plans to leverage Egypt's "competitive advantages" to establish it as a regional hub for manufacturing and exports targeting global markets. Sid Hirdaramani, a director of the group, presented this investment plan during a meeting with Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of GAFI, last week.

Hirdaramani Group operates over 30 factories across multiple countries, employs more than 55,000 workers, generates annual revenue of approximately $1.2 billion, and produces between 12 million and 18.4 million garments per month, exporting its products to international markets.

During the meeting, Dr. Awad reaffirmed GAFI's support for the group's expansion plans, emphasizing that attracting international manufacturers is part of Egypt's strategy to broaden its export base and deepen local industrial capabilities. He stated that such investments help Egypt further integrate into global supply chains and support the development of local supplier industries, enabling them to meet high international standards.

Mr. Hirdaramani acknowledged the measures Egypt has taken to improve the investment environment. He noted that the group views Egypt as a strategic platform to enhance its manufacturing footprint and export reach, confirming the company's commitment to advancing its investment initiatives in a manner that strengthens its regional and international presence.

Both parties agreed to maintain close coordination to explore further investment opportunities and support Hirdaramani Group's future expansion in Egypt. This collaboration is expected to contribute to Egypt's goals of increasing foreign direct investment, creating job opportunities, and boosting exports by attracting high-value-added industries.
