Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego welcomed Nordson to Phoenix, stating that the company will become a key member of the city's rapidly growing technology ecosystem, and expressed anticipation for its investment in the South Mountain area.

Madhukar Keer, Vice President of Nordson's Optical Sensors and Metrology division, noted that the new facility is equipped with a broad portfolio of inspection and metrology solutions for semiconductor and electronics assembly manufacturing, allowing visitors to explore technologies and engage with experts. Brian Dodier, Vice President of the X-ray and Test division, added that the Center of Excellence provides customers with the opportunity to view, evaluate, and validate advanced inspection technologies in real-world applications, helping customers understand through complete demonstrations how the technology can improve yield, processes, and productivity, thereby enabling investment decisions.

As a learning center, the facility will host educational programs covering both new and existing solutions. Flagship systems installed at the center include the SQ7000+, SQ5000Pro, SQ3000M2, and FX-940UV optical systems, the Quadra7Pro and Quadra5Pro manual X-ray systems, the X3 and XS automated X-ray systems, the 4800 Integra wire bond tester, and the Gen 7 acoustic system. Additionally, visitors can experience the wireless, real-time WaferSense semiconductor metrology sensors designed for semiconductor equipment setup and maintenance.

The center also showcases Nordson's progress in advancing artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning (DL), and machine learning (ML) capabilities across multiple technology platforms through the Nordson Intelligence ecosystem.
