Brazil's Brava Energia September Oil and Gas Daily Production Rises to 83,000 Barrels of Oil Equivalent
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 7, Brazilian oil and gas producer Brava Energia released preliminary production data for September 2026, with the company's average daily oil and gas production reaching 82,961 barrels of oil equivalent, an increase of approximately 1.7% compared to 81,642 barrels of oil equivalent in August. Of this, offshore oil and gas assets produced 53,155 barrels of oil equivalent per day, while onshore assets produced 29,806 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Third-quarter average daily production reached 82,387 barrels of oil equivalent, higher than 75,999 barrels in the first quarter and 81,685 barrels in the second quarter, marking the company's highest quarterly level since the beginning of 2026.

Average daily crude oil production in September was 64,160 barrels, an increase of approximately 2.7% compared to August; daily natural gas production was equivalent to 18,800 barrels of oil equivalent, a month-on-month decrease of approximately 1.9%. Offshore assets increased daily production by 1,279 barrels of oil equivalent in the month compared to August, becoming the main source of the company's overall production growth. Onshore asset production remained essentially stable, with the Potiguar field cluster continuing to restore production by increasing steam injection volumes, and approximately 28% of the Recôncavo asset's natural gas production in the month being reinjected underground.
By field, the Papa-Terra field's daily crude oil production reached 10,202 barrels in September, up from 7,927 barrels in August. The field's PPT-52 production well began producing oil on September 29 and is currently in a production stabilization phase. PPT-52 is part of Brava Energia's four-well new production well drilling program across the Papa-Terra and Atlanta fields. The previously announced drilling schedule includes two wells at each field, with overall drilling activity planned to continue through the first quarter of 2027.
The Atlanta field's daily crude oil production in September was 23,778 barrels, down from 24,366 barrels in August. The field is located in Brazil's Santos Basin, operated by Brava Energia with an 80% interest, and its production facilities include the FPSO Atlanta. The company's other offshore asset, Parque das Conchas, produced 7,875 barrels of crude oil per day in September, with Brava Energia holding a 23% non-operating interest in the project.
Brava Energia sold approximately 2.741 million barrels of crude oil in September, up from 837,000 barrels in August. Of this, offshore assets contributed approximately 2.075 million barrels, and onshore assets approximately 666,000 barrels; the Atlanta and Papa-Terra fields sold approximately 1.126 million barrels and 451,000 barrels respectively during the month. Cumulative crude oil sales in the third quarter were approximately 5.147 million barrels, lower than 5.837 million barrels in the second quarter.
