South Korea's NAVER Cloud and Vietnam's FPT Sign AI Factory Cooperation Agreement

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 12, South Korean cloud computing company NAVER Cloud and Vietnamese technology company FPT signed a memorandum of understanding, planning to jointly develop artificial intelligence factories and GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) businesses, with cooperation markets covering South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and other Asia-Pacific regions. The two parties will carry out AI model deployment, GPU computing resource optimization, and enterprise AI service development on FPT AI Factory's existing infrastructure, and are studying the provision of NAVER Cloud's HyperCLOVA X large model to FPT's enterprise customers.

According to the agreement, the two parties will combine existing GPU computing resources, cloud computing platforms, and customer service networks to jointly develop enterprise-oriented AI Factory businesses. The cooperation involves AI infrastructure planning, GPU cloud service development, model training and inference services, as well as commercialization of AI applications. NAVER Cloud and FPT will also jointly identify enterprises and AI service operators that require large-scale GPU computing resources, and provide related services through existing infrastructure.

Technical implementation work will be jointly carried out by FPT's engineering team, NAVER Cloud's Vietnam development center, and technical personnel from its South Korean headquarters. The two parties plan to conduct regular engineering and technical exchanges, optimize performance for customers' existing GPU infrastructure, adjust AI model inference configurations, and participate in the deployment of AI agents in actual production environments. The relevant engineering teams will also directly participate in the technical implementation and operational support of customer projects.

In the model platform cooperation, NAVER Cloud plans to provide HyperCLOVA X model services to enterprise customers through FPT AI Factory. FPT AI Factory's existing platform adopts NVIDIA-related computing technology and has already deployed AI computing facilities in Vietnam and Japan, providing GPU cloud computing, model development, and inference services to enterprises and developers.

FPT disclosed that its AI Factories located in Japan and Vietnam rank 36th and 38th respectively on the supercomputer performance list. The existing platform has already served more than 18,000 AI developers and 2,000 enterprises. The two parties will carry out GPU cloud computing service cooperation based on these existing business resources, and develop model deployment and AI application solutions tailored to customer needs.
