en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, 2H Offshore and Aveon Offshore were awarded the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract for the CSP package of the Ima offshore gas development project in Nigeria. The contract was awarded by a joint venture comprising TotalEnergies Nigeria and AMNI International Petroleum. The project is located in shallow waters near Bonny Island, Nigeria, and is scheduled to come on stream in 2028, with natural gas production expected to reach 350 million cubic feet per day at plateau.

The awarded CSP package covers engineering design, procurement of equipment and materials, and structural fabrication. The two contractors will form a joint project team, integrating engineering, procurement and construction resources from Nigeria, Europe and Asia. Under the arrangement, 2H Offshore will provide offshore engineering design, project management and EPC technical capabilities, while Aveon Offshore will provide Nigerian local fabrication facilities and on-site engineering execution resources.

Following the earlier tendering and project development phases, the two parties have jointly developed an engineering execution plan covering technical requirements, construction organization, quality management and scheduling.

The Ima gas field spans two offshore oil and gas blocks, OML 112 and OML 117. TotalEnergies holds a 40% interest and serves as operator, while AMNI holds a 60% interest. The project reached final investment decision on September 23, 2026. The development plan includes the construction of an offshore production platform, which will be tied into the processing facilities of Nigeria LNG via a 22-kilometer gas pipeline.

Under the development plan finalized by TotalEnergies, the Ima gas field will use onshore power supply and be equipped with a permanent methane detection and monitoring system, with no routine flaring facilities. Once in production, the field is expected to supply approximately one-third of the natural gas required for Nigeria LNG's Train 7 expansion project. The expansion project is planned to increase LNG production capacity from 22 million tonnes per year to 30 million tonnes per year.
