en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 2, Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi of the UAE, met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and witnessed the signing of four AI cooperation agreements between relevant Abu Dhabi institutions and OpenAI, covering oil and gas operations, government regulation, investment analysis, and the promotion of AI applications. The participating parties include Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), G42's Inception42, and Mubadala Investment Company.

ADNOC signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with OpenAI and Inception42 to adopt the OpenAI Frontier AI platform and jointly develop decision-making systems covering oilfield development planning, production, processing, refining, logistics, and trading. The systems will run on the UAE's local AI computing infrastructure, integrating the company's existing industrial data with GPT models, while retaining human expert oversight of key decisions.

The first batch of applications focuses on overall oilfield development planning and oil value chain decision-making. The oilfield planning system will integrate historical data from thousands of oil wells, multiple reservoirs, and hundreds of surface facilities, while incorporating capital expenditure, cost, and commercial factors. Another application will connect crude oil production, processing, refining, logistics, sales, and trading data to predict changes in supply and demand, prices, and profit margins, and to assist in evaluating operational and commercial decisions.

The Abu Dhabi government and OpenAI launched a machine-readable government program, managed by the Abu Dhabi Government Empowerment Authority, which will convert selected policies and regulations into machine-readable formats so that AI systems can assist in conducting licensing, certification, and other regulatory compliance assessments. The first pilot has been put into operation at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, applied to food import regulation. System computing is conducted in data centers within the UAE, assessment results are traceable to the corresponding regulations, and final decisions remain the responsibility of government officials.

In the investment sector, Mubadala Investment Company, Inception42, and OpenAI signed a cooperation agreement to apply AI to investment analysis, opportunity identification, and risk assessment. Inception42 also signed a five-year cooperation agreement with OpenAI to promote the application of advanced AI technologies in the UAE's government, enterprise, and education sectors, and to jointly provide enterprise-grade AI solutions to major local institutions.
