Tunisia Holds Tender for Wheat Purchase

Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 8, On August 7, 2025, the Tunisian Grain Agency (ODC) conducted a tender to procure 100,000 tons of soft wheat from various origins, as reported by Zerno On-Line, citing European traders. The tender attracted participation from 16 companies, with offered prices ranging from $262.5 to $279.15 per ton.

The agency successfully purchased 75,000 tons of wheat on a C&F basis from two suppliers. Dreyfus secured contracts for two lots, each of 25,000 tons, at a price of $262.5 per ton. Ray supplied 25,000 tons at $262.57 per ton. The shipments are scheduled for delivery between September 20 and October 20, 2025.

The tender process was competitive, with the selected bids reflecting the lower end of the price spectrum, ensuring cost-effective procurement for the Tunisian Grain Agency. This acquisition supports Tunisia’s efforts to maintain stable wheat supplies for domestic consumption.
