Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 8, On August 6, 2025, Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI), a prominent South Korean animal feed producer, finalized an international tender to acquire 65,000 tonnes of feed corn sourced from the United States. The tender was awarded to Columbia Grain International, a key supplier in the transaction.

The feed corn was secured in a single consignment at a price of $262.94 per tonne. An additional fee of $1.50 per tonne will apply if the shipment is delivered to two ports to cover extra unloading costs. The purchased corn is scheduled to arrive in South Korea by November 15, 2025, ensuring timely delivery to meet the needs of the domestic feed industry.

This procurement reflects NOFI’s strategic efforts to maintain a steady supply of high-quality feed corn for South Korea’s livestock sector. The transaction underscores the importance of reliable international sourcing to support the country’s agricultural demands. By securing the corn at a competitive price, NOFI aims to stabilize feed production costs while meeting market requirements.

The tender process was conducted efficiently, with Columbia Grain International emerging as the successful bidder. The agreement highlights the strong trade relationships between South Korea and U.S. agricultural suppliers, facilitating the consistent flow of essential commodities to support South Korea’s feed industry.
