Foxconn Unveils First Mass-Produced Electric Vehicle Bria

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.26, On December 25th, Taiwan's Foxtron Vehicle Technologies Co., Ltd. officially launched its new electric vehicle, the Bria.

The company was established as a joint venture between Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) and Yulon Motor. Foxtron stated that the Bria model will be available in three versions, with a price range of approximately $28,600 to $36,540. The company noted that this is the first electric vehicle produced locally in Taiwan and planned for export to international markets. Prior to this, Foxtron had completed the acquisition of Yulon Motor's Luxgen brand for NT$7.876 billion (approximately $24.95 million).

According to the acquisition agreement, Foxtron will obtain full ownership of Luxgen, including its five sales subsidiaries, sales outlets, and related personnel. Upon completion of the transaction, Foxtron will take over all operations, aiming to establish a complete electric vehicle industry value chain in Taiwan, encompassing product development, sales, and after-sales service.

Foxtron operates on a Contract Design and Manufacturing Services (CDMS) model, producing electric vehicles for automotive brands. Hon Hai Technology Group holds a 45.6% stake in Foxtron, while Yulon Motor holds a 43.8% stake.
