Wedoany.com Report on Feb 3rd, Enlight Renewable Energy announced that its CO Bar Hybrid Energy Project under development in Arizona has completed a critical development phase, paving the way for the full-scale implementation of this large-scale renewable energy facility. The project adopts a phased construction model, with a total planned capacity of 1.2GW of PV generation and 4GWh of energy storage system.

The company has secured a 1GW grid interconnection agreement and signed 20-year energy service contracts for the fourth and fifth phases of the CO Bar energy storage project. According to forecasts, the hybrid energy project is expected to generate $264 million to $278 million in revenue from electricity sales in its first year of operation. The total project investment is estimated to be between $2.86 billion and $3.01 billion, with a net investment of approximately $1.55 billion to $1.63 billion after accounting for tax incentives.

Construction has commenced on the first two phases of the CO Bar project, while phases three through five will be fully launched within the next 12 months. As planned, each phase will gradually enter commercial operation starting in the second half of 2027, with full deployment expected to be completed in the first half of 2028.

Adi Leviatan, CEO of Enlight, stated, "The CO Bar project is a significant milestone in the development of our US business. Successfully achieving full grid interconnection and establishing the commercial framework for this large-scale solar-plus-storage complex demonstrates our capabilities in project execution, deepening collaboration with major utility partners, and creating long-term value through high-quality renewable energy assets."

Jared McKee, CEO of Clēnera, added, "We are delighted to see these critical advancements for the CO Bar project. This project not only showcases Clēnera's strength in building large-scale, utility-grade solar facilities but also reflects our commitment to supporting land regeneration management principles through reliable clean energy production and storage."
