Sinochem Holdings' Life Sciences segment includes agrochemicals and animal nutrition businesses.
The agrochemical business is operated by Syngenta Group, a global leader in crop protection and biologicals, the world's third-largest seed company, the leader in China's fertilizer market, and China's leading agricultural service provider. Syngenta Group is registered in Shanghai, China, with its management headquarters in Switzerland. Adama is a global leader in off-patent crop protection, one of the companies with the most comprehensive portfolio of off-patent active ingredients, and produces a full range of crop protection products through unique combinations.
Syngenta Group China focuses on the Chinese market, covering seeds, crop protection, crop nutrition, modern agricultural services, and digital agriculture. Leveraging strong scientific and technological innovation capabilities and full-industry-chain synergies, it focuses on improving crop yield and product quality, actively promotes comprehensive utilization and treatment of saline-alkali land, and contributes to high-quality development of Chinese agriculture.
The animal nutrition business is operated by Adisseo, providing animal nutrition and health solutions primarily to the livestock industry. Its main products, including methionine, vitamins, and enzymes, help upgrade feed supply for poultry, livestock, and aquaculture farms worldwide. These nutrition and health ingredients support animal digestion and healthy growth while protecting the natural environment by reducing waste from farming.

Fertilizers
We have built our own leading fertilizer distribution service network in China's major agricultural provinces and counties, covering 95% of China's arable land. Sinofert is the main channel for imported fertilizers in China, playing a backbone and constructive role in ensuring supply of scarce fertilizer resources and balancing surpluses and shortages. The fertilizer business has full R&D and production capabilities for macro-element and meso/micro-element fertilizers, as well as specialty fertilizers, slow/controlled-release fertilizers, biological fertilizers, and other new types of fertilizers. Its phosphate rock resources rank among the top ten in China.
Seeds
High-quality seeds are the guarantee of harvesting more high-quality, high-yield crops—that's why farmers invest in them. Advanced seeds reduce risks from diseases and drought, allowing farmers to use less land, water, and other agricultural inputs and costs when growing food.
Syngenta is a technology-leading seed developer and producer. We bring more vigorous, stronger, and more resilient seeds—including hybrid varieties and biotech crops that thrive even under challenging growing conditions—to farmers, commercial growers, and retailers.
We meet diverse customer and system needs, from large-scale farms and high-intensity production systems to smaller-scale planting in emerging markets. We have strong supply capabilities in corn, soybeans, sunflowers, grains, and vegetables.
Syngenta is also a global leader in sustainable flower production. We provide professional growers, distributors, and retailers with cutting-edge seeds, seedlings, cuttings, expert advice, and training.
Animal Nutrition Products
As one of the world's leading experts in feed additives, we have 10 research centers worldwide and production bases across Europe, the United States, and China, designing, producing, and promoting sustainable nutrition solutions for animal feed. Adisseo, with more than 2,100 employees, serves approximately 3,900 customers in over 110 countries and regions through its global network. Adisseo also provides species-specific nutrition and health solutions for the global aquaculture industry, offering safe, high-nutrition, traceable protein sources for fish, shrimp, and other aquatic animals, thereby reducing pressure on wild fisheries.
Others
We produce pesticide intermediates used in dyes, pesticides, preservatives, bactericides, coatings, photosensitive materials, etc., as well as intermediates for plant growth regulators, paraquat, and more. Pesticide intermediates are processed from agricultural raw materials and serve as intermediate media, also known as pesticide synergists.
In addition, we provide customers with professional integrated product solutions in nutrition and health products, food ingredients, and personal care, particularly holding a strong market position in the bone and joint segment, with successful star products centered on chondroitin and glucosamine launched in European and American markets.
