Lanzhou Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is the largest manufacturer of electric motors and power generation equipment in Northwest China, established through the restructuring of the former "Lanzhou Electric Machinery Factory." The Company holds a nationally recognized enterprise technology center and has passed ISO9001 quality system certification.
Product Portfolio
The Company's main products include: wind power generators from 0.30 to 3MW, MW-class wind turbine generator units, large and medium-sized high-voltage AC (DC) motors from 220 to 20,000kW, small and medium-sized low-voltage AC motors from 0.55 to 2,000kW, AC variable-frequency variable-speed motors from 0.55 to 5,000kW, marine and land-use AC generators from 3 to 5,000kW, special-purpose generators and motors from 1 to 200kW, small and medium-sized hydroelectric generating units from 160 to 40,000kW, mobile (stationary) power stations, generator sets, power supply vehicles, and low-noise automatic units from 12 to 1,200kW.
Production Capacity and Advantages
The annual comprehensive production capacity is 5 million kW. Among these, the production scales of marine and land-use AC generators, special military motors such as medium-frequency, dual-frequency, and dual-current types, AC servo, spindle, and stepper motors, and YJS high-efficiency energy-saving motors rank among the top in the country.
Technology R&D and Innovation
Based on the absorption and digestion of advanced foreign technologies, the Company continuously develops new products. It has successfully developed a number of high-tech-content, high-value-added motors, including medium-frequency, dual-frequency, and dual-current generators, dual-voltage generators, and special brushless water-fording motors, many of which have filled domestic gaps and taken a leading position in China.
The independently developed TZH and TFX-H series generators are highly reliable and were the earliest products in the industry to win the National Silver Award. The successfully developed 13,500kW and 20,000kW synchronous motors, 12,000kW asynchronous motors, and 4,500kW 30-pole large AC three-phase brushless motors for mining mills have each set national records for single-unit capacity among similar products.
The independently developed YJS, YJSL, and YJS2 compact high and low-voltage asynchronous motors, large and medium-sized AC variable-frequency variable-speed motors, and high-power ultra-high-slip motors and other high-efficiency energy-saving products have reached the advanced level of similar international products.
The 600kW and 1,500kW variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed asynchronous wind power converters, jointly developed with Tsinghua University and awarded a certificate by the Ministry of Education, have achieved China's first system integration of doubly-fed asynchronous wind generators with converters.
The self-developed 1MW variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed asynchronous wind generator, matched with the national 863 "MW Variable-Speed Constant-Frequency Wind Turbine" project undertaken by Shenyang University of Technology, has achieved China's first localization of megawatt-class variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed asynchronous wind turbine units.
Strength in Wind Power Generation
The Company is now capable of producing 1MW, 1.5MW, and 2MW variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed asynchronous wind generators, with independent intellectual property rights. The products have reached the technical level of similar foreign products, firmly ranking the Company among the top three wind generator manufacturers in China. Meanwhile, with the installation, commissioning, and trial operation of our 1MW wind turbine unit at the Yumen Jieyuan Wind Farm, the Company has also officially entered the ranks of domestic wind turbine unit manufacturers.

Equipment and Support Capabilities
The Company possesses 756 units of major equipment, including CNC coordinate grinding machines, coordinate measuring machines, CNC horizontal-vertical milling and boring machining centers, CNC high-speed notching machines, resin sand casting production lines, CNC laser cutting machines, and high-precision CNC wire-cutting machines. Advanced processing and testing equipment has greatly enhanced the Company's R&D capabilities and product quality assurance capabilities.
Qualifications and Honors
The Company's products have been awarded 2 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 7 National Key New Product designations, and 34 provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards. The Company has also received 3 National Quality Product Silver Medal Awards, 2 Ministry Excellence Awards, 13 Provincial Excellence Awards, and the title of Machinery Industry Famous Brand Product. The "Landian" brand AC/DC motors and control devices have been awarded the "Long Goods Premium Product" title in Gansu Province. Small and medium-sized generators received the "National Exemption from Inspection Product" title in 2005, the "China Famous Brand" product title in 2006, and the MW-class variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed asynchronous wind generator (0.75–2MW) was awarded the National Key New Product Certificate in November 2006.
Business Philosophy and Development Plan
During the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, under the correct leadership of the Provincial Government SASAC, the Company will focus on the core business of electric motor manufacturing while expanding and extending the service chain for users in motor application, maintenance, servicing, and repair. The Company will prioritize the development of megawatt-class variable-speed constant-frequency doubly-fed wind generators and their control systems, dedicate itself to the advancement and expansion of motor and control technologies, and shift from a single supporting product supplier to a comprehensive and integrated business operator, building Landian into a first-class equipment manufacturing enterprise in Gansu and a pacesetter in the small and medium-sized motor industry.
