We have moved to a new larger facility to better serve you, our customers, and now have a tech center to test and evaluate our HOT RUNNER SYSTEMS. ALBA is a leading supplier of hot runner systems featuring the THERMOPLAY SYSTEM with their new “F" series nozzle. These nozzles offer easier maintenance, improved heat profiles, lower watt density for longer life, and the ability to service the nozzle without disassembly of the manifold system. The most important and substantial of these technical developments aside from the patented heater, is improved flow with less pressure loss, a variety of tip designs for commodity materials, and special tip designs to provide excellent abrasion resistance for processing highly filled materials. Hot Runner Systems: The injection of plastic materials using hot runner systems is an elementary process provided you do not disregard some basic fundamental laws of physics, thermodynamics, mechanical properties and thermal expansion of steel, and rhealogical characteristics of plastic materials. All of these features must be analyzed for proper performance. The actual analysis of different materials, and how they will behave, in a hot runner system, becomes quite challenging when following the above mentioned principles. Tables of data showing heat propagation, thermal expansion of steel and plastic, are all referred to when designing the flow channels, the size, and degree of polishing, and the size of the gate orifice. From existing programs we are able to calculate pressure drops in different size and length of channels, in order to fill all cavities simultaneously, without creating high stress levels in the plastic material. Our technical department is available to answer any customer questions, with the aid of our CAD programs. Manifolds: ALBA ENTERPRISES INC. is able to supply distribution manifolds with the nozzle location suitable for the customer requirements. The study of the proper balance and runner size is engineered by our technical department. Bolt on Hot Sides: ALBA ENTERPRISES INC. Provides complete bolt on hot sides to your specifications. Completely designed, for interface with your cavity plate, wired and tested prior to shipment. Choice of steels, but Royalloy stainless steel is our standard. Complete 2d or 3d designs are also provided. Vega Hydraulic Cylinders: Vega specializes in the design, production, sale and technical support of Hydraulic Cylinders for plastic injection and die casting mold applications. Vegas strategy consists of providing application oriented solutions, rather than simple products. Offering their standard 160 ISO 4 tie bar cylinders to compact block cylinders and locking cylinders to suit most mold applications. PRESSURES UP TO 6500 PSI. Specials on request. Strack Norma: A major manufacturer of specialty mold components. Strack specializes in latch lock systems for 3 plate and 4 plate applications, and 2 stage ejection. Guide elements, movement elements, and slide elements are pre engineered for easier application and ordering. Over 30,000 variable complete basic forms and 40,000 standard parts in a clear order numbering system form the basis for efficient mold design. "ALBA" Liquid Silicon Cold Runner Systems: The standard cold-runner systems “CRS” offer pneumatic needle type shut-off nozzles and “chokes” for economic manufacturing and materials advantages for the processing of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) in injection molds. The processing of HTV is also possible under certain conditions. Rubber compounds can also be injected. More information is available upon request. Quick Knockout Couplers: Designed to provide a quick method of attaching the ejector plate in your mold to the ejection system in your molding machine. Provides positive ejector plate return while greatly reducing set-up time. Perfectly suited for those molding machines where the ejector plate on the machine is difficult to reach. Ideal when center ejection is desired, but impossible to "tie-in". Work with either hydraulic or mechanical ejection. Latch Pull Systems: Designed for simplicity and positive plate pulling the three plate pulling system is easily installed. Mounted externally the latch and cam plate assembly provides for easy adjustment of plate stroke and positive plate stop positions. The LS01 and the LS02 cam plates are easily adjusted by socket head cap screw, while still in the machine. Since the latch and the cam plate are separately attached to the mold there is no possibility of over stroking the machine and causing mold damage. Available in a variety of sizes to suit your application. Sold in pairs. Temperature Controllers: ALBA features MCS temperature controllers. (Mold Control Systems), has maintained the highest standards for quality, accuracy and reliability for temperature controllers since 1988. Their facility meets the ISO 9000 guidelines and maintains the ability to perform all phases of design and production including circuit board assembly, harness wiring, hardware testing and quality control. Mold Control Systems are backed up by a two (2) year warranty. Other controllers also available as required. Terminal Mounting Boxes: ALBA engineered terminal mounting boxes feature cage clamp connection for your heater and thermocouple wires, for a faster more secure way to wire your hot runner system. Gateblok: The laboratories of Wykle Research and modern metallurgical technology have produced GATEBLOK ™, a precise blend of metals specifically designed to temporarily disable mold cavities, while withstanding the pressures and temperatures inside plastic injection molding equipment. Durable, quick, and easy to use, GATEBLOK- effectively seals off cavities in plastic injection molds. Normally requires a down time of only 5-10 minutes, without having to remove the molds. Curtains: Our transparent "curtains" are directly mounted on the mold or platen to direct ejected parts to the bottom tray or chute. "Curtains" eliminate lost, contaminated or damaged parts. Manufactured from a plastic material with memory, they are able to unwind and rewind as the mold opens and closes. Each curtain is attached with Velcro to allow for easy removal to service the cavity area. Epic Electrical Connectors: Epic electrical connectors, receptacles, plugs, insert, hoods, bases, housings. D-M-E type or equivalent. Blow Molding Machinery: ALBA Enterprises offers the expertise and machinery for extrusion blow molding, suction blow molding, injection blow molding and stretch blow molding systems along with hot runner systems for injection blow molding or stretch blow molding systems. http://www.meccanoplastica.com/ Babyplast: full hydraulic injection molding machines for micro precision parts from 0.01 g to 15 grams. Proven for all types of materials from commodity resins to filled engineered materials. Available in horizontal, and vertical configurations for insert applications. Also add on injection units for 2 shot or over mold applications. http://www.babyplast.com
