In 1955, Mr. Aleix Martí, the father of the current President, founded an enterprise manufacturing machines to operate with glass bottles. In 1977, 25 years ago, the current President Mr. Jaime Martí, manufactured his first Unscrambler POSIMAT in his fathers business. Today, POSIMAT has already manufactured 3000 units! Later, Mr. Jaime Martí patented his famous fast change of format that works exchanging selector pieces. This made him the real world leader for plastic bottle unscramblers. Today, he manufactures one of these machines every working day: about 250 unscramblers per year, plus its accessories, such as silos, conveyor belts, etc... In 1986, Mr. Jaime Martí founded his enterprise and named it after his machine: POSIMAT S.A. He inaugurated a factory in Barberá del Vallés, a city situated few km in the North of Barcelona (Spain). On the 15th November 1997, the new factory (which appears on the attached pictures) was inaugurated. It was build on a 6.000 m2 piece of land, which allowed meeting the increasing orders from the customers. This new factory is situated in 17 Avenida Arraona in the same city, Barberá. This new factory allowed us to increase the offer of machinery for our customers: from silos to stock bottles in bulk, the complete installation for the movement of empty plastic bottles, from the preform moulder to the bottle filler. Few years ago, Mr. Martí patented his POSIFLEX and POSISWITCH systems for instantaneous change of format that works pressing a button in the control panel. These systems have been successful all over the world, with more than 100 machines manufactured with these systems so far. Today, POSIMAT provides the complete engineering for bottle manufacturing plants, as well as the supply of the corresponding equipment. Nowadays, the enterprise is managed by its President Jaime Martí, and his son and daughter, Aleix and Elisabet Martí. The three of them are graduate in Industrial Engineering by the Universidad Técnica Superior de Barcelona, which allows them to have a direct and personalised contact with their customers. In addition, the enterprise has more than a hundred employees (at least 20 of them have medium or superior university degrees), as well as Commercial and Technical Assistance Branches all around the world. The most important one is POSIMAT USA, situated in Miami (Florida, USA).
